We did not start with a building. We did not start with a crowd. We started with a word from God, a man, and a burning conviction that something had to be done about this generation.
The name Immanuel City Global is not a branding decision. It is a prophetic declaration — three words that carry three mandates from God.
When God gave the vision, He also gave the founder a promise — there would be challenges, confrontations, moments of wanting to quit. But God said: I am going to be with you at every step of the way. Immanuel means God with us. That is not just a name on a piece of paper. It is a promise from God. It is the reason this ministry is still standing. Not because everything went smoothly. But because God kept His word.
John 16:33God gave another word. He said this ministry is not one that will sit in a corner. He pointed to the scripture that says we are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. This is a ministry that will be a city — visible, impactful, not just a church but a community that functions with such excellence and purpose that people cannot ignore what God is doing here.
Matthew 5:14God was very specific about this. He said this will not be a local ministry, and the people in it will not be local either. We were never designed to stay in one place, serve one community, and call it done. The instruction was clear: the people in this ministry will be global. Their influence will be felt everywhere on the face of the earth, taking over territories, making Jesus famous.
Matthew 28:19To raise people through worship, discipleship (word), prayer, leadership development, and Kingdom impact, equipping them to influence every sphere of society for Christ.

Matthew 5:14 (NIV) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”These are not decorations. They are what the whole structure stands on. Remove one and the building becomes unstable.
We are raising people who do not just come to sing songs, but people who understand that their lives are the real worship. Songs are only a channel. The true expression comes from a heart and a body fully surrendered to God — on Sunday and every other day.
John 4:23–24We believe God changes a man from the inside first. How he thinks, how he sees life, how he responds to situations. We are raising people whose minds are renewed by God's Word daily, and the fruit of it is evident for all to see.
Romans 12:2We are raising people who do not just pray, but who listen. We believe prayer is not a monologue, it is a conversation, and God still speaks today to those who make room to hear Him. This is prayer the way the old church prayed, unhurried and expectant, because it has never gone out of style, and it has never stopped working.
1 Corinthians 14:1We are raising people who do not serve God halfway, and who do not serve for the praise of men. We are raising people who give Him their quality time, their gifts, their strength, and their heart — wholeheartedly, not because they are forced, but because they love Him.
Romans 12:11We are not just gathering people — we are building and forming quality, rooted disciples. People who are willing to grow, who are not too big to be corrected, not too big to be taught, becoming like Christ step by step. And even after they are formed, they keep learning, because there is no end to discipleship.
Matthew 28:19–20We are a praying people. Not just because we have problems or things we are believing God for, but because we believe prayer is how we communicate with God and stay connected to Him daily. It is the people who know how to stay with God and grow deep in Him that walk as His children.
James 5:16This is the one we will never stop pursuing, because we believe everything rises and falls on leadership. The more godly, compassionate, and capacity-driven leaders we raise, the better this world becomes. We are raising people who will carry influence everywhere God sends them — not just in church, but in life, in business, and in society.
Luke 12:48We believe people should see the fruit of Christ in us before we even open our mouths. Our conduct, our character, and our capacity speak first. We do not keep what God has done for us to ourselves. We go out. We reach people. We show Christ through our lives and bring others into the Kingdom.
Mark 16:15Everything we are doing is bigger than church. The goal is to raise people who carry this kingdom mindset everywhere — into their homes, careers, businesses, and schools. People who influence their peers, friends, neighbours, and colleagues, and carry it all the way to nations.
Matthew 6:10These are the standards that define how people in Immanuel City actually behave and relate — day to day.
We believe anything done for God deserves pure excellence. We know everything can't be perfect, but giving God our best in everything — how we serve, how we show up, how we represent Him — means a lot to us in this ministry.
Colossians 3:23We are the same people in public and in private. We don't live two lives. What we say is what we do. What we show in church is what we carry outside.
Proverbs 10:9We don't pass responsibility to others while we fold our hands. We take charge. We see what needs to be done and we step in like it belongs to us — because in God's house, we all carry the weight of the assignment.
Philippians 2:4We are not staying the same. We are growing spiritually, mentally, and in character. If we are not growing, we are not yet done.
2 Peter 3:18We treat people with value. We don't despise people. We honour God, we honour our leaders, and we honour one another in how we relate.
Romans 12:10In this house, greatness looks like servanthood. We don't look for position first; we look for how to serve. Jesus is our perfect example.
Mark 10:45We are very consistent people. We don't start something and disappear halfway. We stay, we build, we remain committed even when it's not convenient.
1 Corinthians 4:2We don't hold back what God has given us. We give our resources freely — and also our time and our love — because we understand everything we have comes from Him.
2 Corinthians 9:7We don't pretend here. We are real before God and real with people around us. No faking it, no pressure to impress anyone — we are just genuine and real people growing in Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:18We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — our final rule for faith and practice.
We believe in one God eternally existing as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — co-equal and co-eternal.

We believe in the present-day baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues, and the operation of all spiritual gifts.

That word has never changed. Everything built since then has been in response to that one mandate — to raise a generation that will take over territories and make Jesus famous.
Become Part of the StoryIn late 2017, God spoke to Oluwafemi Olaoye, the founder of this great commission, while he was at a small youth gathering at his home church. It was a vision. Not a plan, not a strategy. A vision. A clear mandate to gather young people and raise them to take over territories and make Jesus famous. He carried this burden for close to four more years before he summoned the courage to start the vision as a fellowship.
He officially started a monthly gathering called Immanuel Fellowship. About nine people gathered together to fellowship. The first gathering was tagged Worship Hangout. It was a pure worship gathering with a few friends who came around.
The fellowship moved to twice a month, every second and fourth Sunday. The hunger for God was growing in the heart of the people, and so was the commitment to raise a generation.
On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, Immanuel City Global held its first Sunday service as a church. A fellowship became a church after four years. A seed became a tree. And the journey into everything God said is now fully underway.
This is not a perfect church, and we do not expect 100% perfection. But we are trying to become people who look more like Jesus every day of our lives. What we carry is real. The hunger is real. The vision is real. And God is truly in this house.
